The JCC in Manhattan is now hiring Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors for the Aquatics Program in The Samuel Priest Rose Building. This facility is equipped with a 5 lane, 25 meter lap pool and adjustable–depth training pool. Lifeguards must have the following up to date certifications: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard Training, Community First Aid.

Water Safety Instructors interested in teaching any of the following classes: Red Cross Learn to Swim, Infant/Toddler, Private Swim Lessons, Water Exercise classes including Water Yoga, Shallow Water Running, Water Dance, Aqua Aerobics, Arthritis Exercise, Aqua–Abs, Especially Seniors, must have the following up to date certifications: Water Safety Instructor Certification CPR/AED, Community First Aid.

We are also looking for Certified Water Safety Instructors interested and qualified to work with Special Needs populations.

The JCC in Manhattan is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. You must be a hands-on energetic team player and have a high sense of urgency in responding to day to day requests and property needs. Responsibilities include all aspects of building operations, i.e.; plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, tile work, absorption refrigeration, BMS operation and computer literacy. Candidate must have or be able to obtain sprinkler/standpipe certification and a low pressure boiler certificate. Candidate must also be available to work flexible hours which includes three overnight shifts and two weekend shifts. Salary is commensurate with experience and the JCC is an EOE. General purpose of the position:

The Technology department is looking for a Technical Specialist with at least 2 years of experience in Information Technology with strong verbal and written communication abilities and a cultivated interest in learning new technical skills.

This person will also be exposed to, and assume responsibility, for the following technical areas: Server administration (mixed Novell, Linux and Windows environment), E-mail administration, Phone System Administration, Managing the Definity PBX and Audix Voice mail system, Physical Network administration, Maintenance and expansion of data and voice cabling infrastructure, including data switches, Desktop support, Network Security and Management of our network security infrastructure.
